Welcome to “Chez Themby”, our rustic 200 hundred year old country house, nestled in wonderful seclusion at the end of a country lane with stunning views over fields and lakes below. Set in a private garden with a relaxing heated swimming pool surrounded by rolling farmlands.
It is a perfect family home sleeping a maximum of 9 in 4 bedrooms. The local area is extremely picturesque and there is plenty to do for all ages.

WHERE WE ARE

The house is situated in Puymonzac, a tiny hamlet within a short drive or 15 minute walk to Verteillac the thriving local village with its bakery, butchers, restaurants, church, brocante and supermarket.
The house is approximately 2 hours by car from Bordeaux airport and only 1.5 hours from Bergerac airport. The region provides an abundance of activities including walking, swimming, water-skiing, horse riding, canoeing and mini-golf.

GETTING HERE

By car
Puymonzac is located some 500km South of Paris and approximately 2 hours East of Bordeaux. From Paris you take the A10 through Tours and Poitiers towards Angouleme. From Bordeaux you take the A89 towards Mussidan and then North through Ribérac. Whichever route you take you are spoilt by the beautiful French countryside as you get closer to the house.

By train
The closet train station is in Angouleme which links with Bordeaux to the West (40 minutes) and Paris to the North (3 hours). Angouleme is a 45 minute car drive away.

By air
Via the airports of Bordeaux (2 hour drive away ), Bergerac (1 hour) or Limoges (1.5 hours)

This was the most amazing find in the Dordogne. A fabulous spacious property with plenty of character and space - enough for two families with five children between us. The house has two good sized bathrooms and a kitchen with all amenities, as well as an outdoor eating area - where we spent EVERY meal time. We'd thoroughly recommend this and hope to return soon.

Wonderfull place in nice and quiet environment
Lovely view, the place to be if you like to destress. In the middle of nature, nice with kids, small villages nearby bigger villages +-45min

Beautiful location and great for children. We've stayed there twice whilst driving through France in the summer. Characterful house with lots of space, a wonderful garden with a great swimming pool, trampoline, BBQ, outdoor terrace etc. Great place to relax and enjoy the views but also lots of activities in the area. Our kids enjoyed canoeing, fishing nearby & going to the local boulangerie.
